Yesterday I found a single 4 pack of Atomic Duck at my neighborhood Speedee Mart. The manager told me they had stocked up on Atomic Duck the day before, but they had sold out in less than 24 hours! I'd stopped to fill up my tank and gone in to check out the selection of Vegas craft brews. Speedee Mart is a handy source of local craft beer and well worth checking out when you don't have the time to go to your favorite brew pub.
Atomic Duck IPA presented itself with
notes of pineapple and citrus on the nose, a strong hop finish, and notes of pine. Easy drinking, Atomic Duck was a satisfying beer for a sunny Vegas afternoon.
We paired Atomic Duck with savory bacon cheese burgers off of the grill, first of the season tender, sweet corn on the cob & a colorful medley of grilled vegetables. This highly drinkable beer was both enjoyable on its own, as I waited for the coals to burn down, and as a strong compliment to our grilled summer supper.
Atomic Duck is definitely a beer that I would enjoy again!
