First up is Big Dogs Draft House.
My wife Linda and I decided to order a selection of Draft House's locally crafted beer to accompany our order of their spicy chicken fingers, fish and chips and sweet potato tots.
We paired the Las Vegas Craft Lager with our order of fish and chips, and both agreed that the Craft Lager worked well and didn't overwhelm the delicate flavor of their lightly battered Icelandic Cod.
Las Vegas Craft Lager
A crisp, clean American style lager with a very balanced profile of hops and malt, light bodied and crisp! This would be a wonderful beer to enjoy during hot summer days here in Las Vegas, or year round, for that matter!
Big Dog's Peace Love and Hoppiness Pale Ale
was the perfect foil to the Spicy Chicken Fingers and sweet potato tots we had ordered.
Big Dogs Spicy Chicken Fingers were big in flavor and Peace Love and Hoppiness was just the ticket to tame them.
This pale ale's dry hopping gives it hints of stone and tropical fruits with a light malt aroma. I would whole heartedly recommend Peace Love and Hoppiness to those with a taste for spicy foods!
Our third selection for this tasting was a new offering recommended by our server, Tiffiny, their Crhazy Dog Imperial Hazy IPO.
Crhazy Dog Imperial Hazy was the star of this tasting. With a hints of citrus (grapefruit), a great mouth feel, and a wonderful finish Crhazy Dog was bright and refreshing. Though enjoyable anytime, Crhazy Dog Imperial Hazy IPO will be the perfect companion to steaks, burgers...nearly anything grilled out of doors during the long hot Vegas Summer!
Our next posting will feature offerings from Craft Haus Brewery in the Arts District.
